Vasudha collects personal and family information provided voluntarily by you or designated family moderators. This includes:
- Basic Identity: Full Name, Tamil Name, Gender, Age, and Profile Photo.
- Contact Details: Mobile number (used as unique login username) and address.
- Genealogy & Relations: Parentage, spousal links, children, and family lineage.
- Cultural & Matrimonial Details: Star (Natchathiram), Raasi, Gotra, skills, and career details.
2. Voluntary Submission & Purpose
All data is submitted voluntarily for the purpose of maintaining a digital family tree, matrimonial directory, community event calendar, and support desk. Information is stored securely in the database and is never rented or sold to third-party commercial entities.
3. Granular Privacy Controls
Vasudha provides granular privacy controls allowing users to set section visibility (e.g., Matrimonial Status, Skills, Career, Family Relations) to Public (visible to registered members), Private (visible to family only), or Hidden.
4. Data Security & Cryptographic PIN Hashing
Passwords and 6-digit security PINs are protected using standard bcrypt cryptographic hashing algorithms. PINs are never stored in plain text.
5. Limitation of Liability & Indemnity
As detailed in our Terms & Conditions, the lead developer (Vishnu Vijayan) and administrators are fully indemnified against any loss, legal claims, privacy breaches, or damages resulting from information voluntarily provided by users. You assume full personal responsibility for your interactions on the platform.
